I ran across these little slimy characters this weekend and couldn’t resist getting them in front of my camera.  Here is a little bit of information about a Slug.

On top of the slug, behind the head, is the saddle-shaped mantle, and under this are the genital opening and anus. On one side (almost always the right hand side) of the mantle is a respiratory opening, which is easy to see when open, but difficult to see when closed. This opening is known as the pneumostome.

Sometimes we just run out of light.  This is what happened on this day.  But, for some reason, I really like how this Elk stands out.

This is a great place to visit.  And remember, you can bring your own spray paint and get a little creative. This Slug Bug Ranch is located in Conway, Texas.

I am not sure what it is about their eyes. But when they look back at me, I am glad I have a camera to capture that look.

This weekend a few friends and I are traveling to Louisiana to tour and photograph at CHIMP HAVEN…

We will be able to share the joy of watching some of the 111 retired research chimpanzees experience new-found freedoms.

Please share this with everyone you know.

I continue my quest in Splash Photography.  I have studied it for awhile now and this week, I have had a little time to practice.  And I must say, I NEED LOTS MORE PRACTICE.  🙂

He was just a poser for me today…

I used my Nikon D800 and Tamron 60mm Macro Lens to capture these images of the Snails.
