When you picture what your new business cards are going to look like, imagine how different they will be from any others you have seen. Think outside the box. Research. It’s not good enough to just be getting your name and information out there. No, you need to catch your clients attention and you can do this when you are UNIQUE!
While you want to reach the potential client with details, sometimes less is better. Try reducing the amount of details that goes onto your new cards. Wow them with your Uniqueness and entice them to want more.
This goes hand in hand with SIMPLE. Frills may be good but is it too distracting? Research which fonts and colors would best suit your needs. There is a ton of information on the web that will help you make the right choice… Check out this article regarding colors. WHAT COLOR IS YOUR BUSINESS?
Once you have designed this new masterpiece, show your idea to close friends or family. Get their feedback (thick skinned is required here, LOL). Does the style reflect who you are and what your business stands for? Then consider using the same style on your letterhead, website, ads, etc.
Now that you have done your research, chosen fonts and colors that reflect you, your style and your business, will they keep that card? That is the last question I asked myself before finalizing my business card order. And my answer was YES! Doing your homework and investing time is a great way to ensure that people don’t throw away or misplace your cards. If they’re interested in the card, they find a way to keep it safe.
Feel free to post some of your UNIQUE cards! We would love to see them…
